Creating Opportunties to Motivate and Bring Success

A little bit about Combs school and our village!

Combs Infant School from Lesser Lane

Built in 1864, Combs Methodist Chapel lies about 3 miles SW of Chapel-en-le-Frith and is situated in a picturesque valley near to Combs Reservoir, surrounded by beautiful hills that are very popular with ramblers throughout the year.

Combs Infant School is housed in the village chapel and village hall and thus maintains its close links with the local community. We know that there has been a school at Combs since January 1881. Today the school caters for infant children in both the Foundation Stage and KS1. There are currently 24 children in the school divided between Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

The village hall building was completed in 1998 and this additional space has brought wider opportunities, particularly in the areas of Art and Craft and P.E. Click here to see the school's playground, climbing equipment and wormery.
